Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas with their families!  I meant to write this update earlier this week, but things got crazy as I'm sure you can relate!  

On Tuesday, I finally had my appointment with the orthopedic surgeon for my hip.  After MORE x-rays I learned several things... the good news is that since the Power Strips are helping to control my pain, I don't need surgery right away!!!  It turns out that a large percentage of the population have labrum tears like I do and don't even know it!  The bad news is that I have hip dysplasia and will eventually need a more intense surgery than I had anticipated.  BUT - we are going to try to keep things in check with cortisone shots for as long as possible to put off the surgery.  I was super excited to tell my doctor about the Power Strips and how much they are helping me.  He was very impressed by them, and took some samples to try.  I am so so so happy to report that I don't need surgery right now, and it is definitely at least partially attributed to the Power Strips helping with the pain management part.  Now do we see why I call these my Magic Strips?!   Just thought I'd share the latest in the saga of my life as a 31 year old stuck in a 91 year old's body!! ; )  Hey you gotta laugh about it right!?  Just keep moving and keep smiling friends!! = )
