Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas with their families!  I meant to write this update earlier this week, but things got crazy as I'm sure you can relate!  

On Tuesday, I finally had my appointment with the orthopedic surgeon for my hip.  After MORE x-rays I learned several things... the good news is that since the Power Strips are helping to control my pain, I don't need surgery right away!!!  It turns out that a large percentage of the population have labrum tears like I do and don't even know it!  The bad news is that I have hip dysplasia and will eventually need a more intense surgery than I had anticipated.  BUT - we are going to try to keep things in check with cortisone shots for as long as possible to put off the surgery.  I was super excited to tell my doctor about the Power Strips and how much they are helping me.  He was very impressed by them, and took some samples to try.  I am so so so happy to report that I don't need surgery right now, and it is definitely at least partially attributed to the Power Strips helping with the pain management part.  Now do we see why I call these my Magic Strips?!   Just thought I'd share the latest in the saga of my life as a 31 year old stuck in a 91 year old's body!! ; )  Hey you gotta laugh about it right!?  Just keep moving and keep smiling friends!! = )

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season with your families!  Just a quick update on my experience with the strips as well as some exciting news!

I recently traveled to Maine, which required a 6 1/2 hour car ride to get there - Typically car rides like this are terribly painful for me - thanks to the strips, I arrived pain free and able to enjoy the trip!!  I couldn't believe it!

I've been doing some thinking this weekend... They say everything happens for a reason. I'm not exactly sure who "they" are but I often think "they" are right. This fall, FGXpress Power Strips fell into my lap, helping my pain incredibly as well as giving me a great business opportunity to explore along with my lia sophia business. Now that lia sophia has announced this being their last month in business I am realizing that there really was a reason that FGXpress came into my life when it did. While I am incredibly sad that an amazing company that I worked for for the past 8 years will no longer be around, I am looking on the bright side that I will be able to help many people with FGXpress! I look forward to a strong final month for lia sophia and building my new business with FGXpress! 

7 weeks of Pain Relief in the books!

Hi Everyone!

I realized I haven't posted in a few weeks so I thought I'd give an update on my current Power Strips experience.  It's been about 7 weeks since I started using the strips.  They are definitely continuing to control my pain!  I think the key is to be consistent.  Making sure to switch the strip every 48 hours is key.  Thanks to being in much much less pain, I find that I am riding better and I am able to work out without pain!  In addition to the pain relief I am sleeping better than I ever remember sleeping--- WITHOUT MEDS!!!  Before this, I honestly don't remember the last time that I slept through the night without sleeping medication.  Even better - I wake up feeling rested now - no more medicine head!

Even more than my own success with Power Strips, I enjoy hearing about other people's success.  One of my friends at work suffers from chronic migraines and has been on a very strong medication to help control them for a long time.  Thanks to the Power Strips, she is currently weaning herself off this medicine and experiencing relief from her migraines!!  My horseback riding trainer has been enjoying a permanent vacation from his back pain thanks to these strips.  The stories just keep coming, and I LOVE to hear about them and share them with others.

If you've been holding out, please stop torturing yourself by remaining in pain!  I can't speak highly enough about these strips.  I also keep learning about more and more positive side effects that come along with wearing Power Strips daily.  It's not often you hear about POSITIVE side effects! = )

My latest Power Strip success!

Happy Halloween!!  

I just wanted to write a quick post to share my latest Power Strip experiment!  I've had an issue with pain in my kneecap in the past.  My doctor gave me some exercises that didn't really help.  Last night I cut 2 thin strips out of my Power Strip and put one above my knee cap and one below it. (I put the rest on my back.) I woke up this morning with no pain or stiffness in my knee!  Woohoo!!

Friday 10/24
So I FINALLY got the results of my MRI with the contrast solution injection (OUCH!) - It turns out I DO have a labrum tear in my hip. :(  Is it weird that as much as this stinks, I was a little relieved that there is actually a cause for at least some of my pain??  Sooo now I have to go see a surgeon who will hopefully tell me that I don't actually have to have surgery!! = )  (Here's hopin!!) Unfortunately, I can't get in to see him until December.  I am so so so thankful that I have discovered these Power Strips - I can't even tell you!!


Monday 10/27
I woke up this morning, did my PIYO work out and took a shower like a do every day.  I was brushing my teeth when I realized I was in virtually no pain!!  I honestly don't remember the last time that happened.  Last night, I cut a strip in half and put the pieces in slightly different places, so I'm not sure if that did it or if it sort of builds up in your system, but whatever it is I am psyched!!  I don't remember the last time I was this excited about something!  I just want to tell everyone about how much these strips have helped me in just a few weeks.

Day 23

Today is the 23rd day I have had a patch on and I can't even believe how much better I feel!  It is definitely helping my back and hip, but I feel like it is somehow helping my overall joint pain even with all of this rain we've had.  Normally this weather is torturous for me. I have only taken my muscle relaxer that I usually rely on to sleep ONCE since I started this venture!  Crazy!!

How I discovered FGXpress

I started this blog because I made the most amazing discovery recently and can't wait to tell people about it!  I actually stumbled upon this gem by accident...
